Today is Spring Equinox Day, which is also World Storytelling Day! Celebrate the art of the oral story by sharing an experience with someone you know, or by listening to some of our favorite stories… 

TED talks like Chimamanda Adichie’s “The Danger of a Single Story” (on interpretation) or Elif Shafak’s “The Politics of Fiction,” (human connectivity) or take a listen to some compelling radio stories, like Radiolab’s The Good Show (altruism) or Slow, (the brain and speaking) or This American Life’s Act V (theater in prison).

Yesterday, members of the Grammy winning group Arcade Fire delivered a lecture at the University of Texas at Austin titled “Hope, Haiti, and Service.” The musicians have been long-time supporters of the rebuilding efforts in Haiti and shared stories with students on volunteer work and philanthropy.
