Let's Talk
"It is inadequate to say ‘I am not prejudiced' and morally evasive to say, ‘I treat everyone the same,'" writes Paul Kivel in the new Uprooting Racism: How White People Can Work for Racial Justice. The book makes use of anecdotes, statistics, and study questions to deconstruct the concept of race, explore the manifestations of racism, and challenge white readers to become allies in the struggle for racial justice.
