Juanita White's own home was consumed by a fire that started in a nearby church just after crews had helped her to gut it in preparation for renovation. In these images, she supervises the gutting of her aunt and grandmother's house, making every effort to salvage those possessions that were not ruined by floodwaters still stagnating in drawers and cabinets more than a year after the storm.
