Joe Wilson was still living in his badly damaged home, even as our crew removed mold-encrusted plaster and debris. He had nowhere else to go, all of his family having left the area before or because of the storm. He hopes to be able to fully renovate it, having begun some of the work himself. But with almost no funds, he will have to rely on more help from local ministries and volunteers. Many residents face the same problem with few resources to rebuild, while also receiving offers to sell their property which, in Joe's case, has been his family home for generations.
