Links of Awesomeness: January 28, 2013

Well, this link is mostly awesome because I love YouTube and a friend from high school's sister is in it. (She's the really sad Packer fan.) So here it is — a Volkswagen Super Bowl ad that banks on viral video stars.

I'm not a huge Star Trek fan, but I have seen the trailer for the newest film in the series. And I have to say, I like this adaptation of it a little better.

Like puppies? Me too. That's why this video of a bunch of Scottish Terriers drinking — aptly named the Scottie Pinwheel — is awesome.

I love it when people break social norms and get it on camera. Like this guy, who awkwardly asks for directions and then walks the opposite way with the person he asked.

Sometimes people have the time and the talent to do really cool stuff. Take this guy, who took a rake and a beach and spent the day making some beautiful art that was skillfully captured on video. [via GOOD]

In case you've been living under a rock, here's the latest viral video that's been blowing up on YouTube this weekend. It's a pretty good pep talk from a pretty cute kid.

And if you've already seen Kid President's Pep Talk, check out this older video that's also pretty awesome.
