In case you’ve been sleeping under a rock for the past eleven months (or even if you haven’t), the generous folks at JibJab have collected all the best news stories and faces from the year and set it to music through their standard DIY video. Join the peppy sing along, 2011: Buh-Bye!

Mary probably didn’t know what the future held for child Jesus, and neither did Darth Vader know what lie in store Anakin. See the prophecy come to life in Vadar Did You Know?”

The Orthodox Jewish a capella group The Maccabeats released a new video – a rendition of Matisyahu’s reggae tune “Miracle.” This dancy, melodious, colorful take on Mati’s original is sure to give Glee a little competition.

Bill Watterson’s beloved comic Calvin and Hobbes brought new design ideas to the art of building snowmen. See the video below for a walkthrough of some of the best snowmen deaths. And then check out an artist’s portrayal of Calvin and Hobbes all grown up, still reveling in mischief.

Still looking for that perfect gift for the young politically-minded engineer in your life? Then choose LEGO’s latest Civil Unrest set, Occupy Wall Street: Riot Brigade.

Earlier this month Jimmy Kimmel aired a challenge he gave to parents: give your kids an early present they won’t want and tape their reaction when they open it. The gifts are hilarious, and the reactions are priceless, but beware – the last kid’s response is sure to land him on the naughty list.
