Slip of the Tense

IT IS A PLEASURE to see my poem in print in "Wordworks" ("Good Friday," February-March 1993). I am sorry to say, however, that an important word was changed from past to present tense. "We believed in better luck" is the way it should have read; the tense makes a difference! In spite of the disappointment, I am pleased to have my poem published in Sojourners.
