I just read the article "No Place to Stand?" by Heidi Schlumpf (June 2004). As a new subscriber to Sojourners I am looking forward to more articles like this. I have struggled for a long time, being liberal in most areas but not in favor of abortion. Schlumpf's article has given me comfort and reassurance that we can be effective and Catholic having this dichotomy in our beliefs. Thanks for a fine article.
