I appreciated Stacia Brown’s article ("Valor, Honor, Conscience," September-October 2006). The entire arena of conscientious objection needs to be opened to protect not only the conscience of those who object to all wars but also those who object to a particular conflict based on the criteria defined in the just war tradition.
