Since 1455, the Benedictine monks of the Kloster Andechs monastery, situated in the foothills of the Bavarian Alps, have dedicated themselves to brewing a superior beer.
Andechs has never been exported to the United States, but the holy hops are now available in Canada. The Benedictine monks use the proceeds from their licensing fees to help fund their educational and social service programs.
