AIN'T NO SUCH baby as the Scottish Royal Navy ("Great Scot!" Between the Lines, May-June 2001), there's just the Royal Navy. True enough, its nuclear submarine base is on the Clyde estuary at Faslane near Helensburgh, in Scotland. However, when there was a U.S. Navy base near the Scottish town of Dunoon (on the Holy Loch, ironically), it wasn't staffed by the Scottish United States Navy.
