God of the lepers and outcasts, thank you for the example of Jesus who not only loved the sick but boldly crossed social divides in order to heal them. Give us the same strength to stand up to the stigma of the AIDS epidemic. Help us to cast aside fears of those who are different from us and empower us to find ways to stop the deaths caused by AIDS and other diseases.
